While funding permits only allowed pre-engineered metal structure, the Client requested that Port City Architecture provide an aesthetically pleasing building. The requested resulted in a design using narrowly spaced, corrugated metal and a simple symmetrical elevation. This imbues warmth and human scale to the first phase of NEMAL, which will eventually be converted into the UNE Boathouse.
